CVTA’s USTA Adult League Appreciation Playday!

The CVTA would like to invite all USTA Adult League tennis players to a year-end Appreciation Tennis Playday on Saturday, December 3, 2:00pm-5:00pm at Bentwood Country Club. Beer will be provided, not to mention some fun door prizes! This will be a social playday where we will mix and play with different partners. (Please sign up with the link and that way if we have to make any changes based on weather below 40 degrees we will be able to email you to let you know.) USTA League Captains’ Meeting - Thursday, Jan 11, 7pm in Bentwood Clubhouse
We are having our annual USTA Captains’ Meeting to discuss any new rule changes for 2024. Captains of all league types ( Adult 18-39, 18&Over, 40&Over, 55&Over, Mixed, Combo, Tri-Level, etc) are invited, as well as any interested players. I will hand out local rules packets and a calendar/schedule for the 2024 San Angelo Leagues. If you have suggestions or concerns you would like to discuss please plan on attending the meeting or email them to me prior. courtney.bentwood@gmail.com

2024 League Season:
*Days of play are subject to court availability.
Adult 40 & Over will begin the week of January 22.
NEW Format: 1 singles & 4 doubles lines
Sundays: Women 4.0 unless a holiday (then Tues 6:30), Sundays 3pm
Mondays: 3.5 Women 6:30pm
Tues: 3.5 Men 6:30pm ( 4.0 Women when Sun holiday)
Wed: 4.5 Men 6:30pm if we have two teams, 2.5 Adult 18&Over Women
Thurs: 4.0 Men, 3.0 Women
Adult 40&Over Sectionals are SPLIT Weekends: May 31-Jun 2- 3.5s & 4.5s Houston,
June 7-9- 3.0s & 4.0s The Woodlands
Adult 40&Over Qualifying Tourney Apr 20-21 Austin
Adult 18 & Over 2.5 Women begin Wed Jan 24. (Wed play 6:30pm)
Adult 55 & Over will play Saturdays Feb 17, 24, Mar 2, 9
6.0, 7.0, 8.0 - 3 lines of combined ratings for doubles or weekend tourney is option
Any men? Two teams minimum needed for league. Sectionals May 17-19, Dallas
Adult 18 & Over will begin the week of March 24.
Mondays: 3.5 Women
Tuesday: 3.5 Men
Wednesdays: 4.5 Men
Thurs: 4.0 Men & 3.0 Women
Sundays: 4.0 Women (Tues if skip a Sun)
Most likely have to play some Sundays b/c of court restraints on Tuesdays.
Adult 18&Over Qualifying Tournament - June 29-30, Georgetown
Adult 18&Over Sectionals: Aug 2-4 (2.5,3.5,4.5s) Aug 9-11 (Lonestar,3.0,4.0,5,0s)
Adult 55 & Over: Must have 2-team league to advance.
-6.0, 7.0, 8.0 teams of combined rating doubles. 3 lines.
-Saturday play beginning Feb 17
-Sectionals - May 17-19, Dallas

Mixed 18 & Over begins week of June 10: 6.0, 7.0 8.0 teams - Sectionals Sept 20-22, Abilene
MIXED 40 & Over local Tournament: July 12-14: 6.0, 7.0 & 8.0 teams - Sectionals Sept 6-8, Round Rock.
Combo – Aug 5th week, Sectionals Abilene Oct 11-13
Mixed 55+ Sept 30-Oct 1, TriLevel-Oct 2, Adult 65+ -Can set a weekend date if we have teams, otherwise go directly to sectionals with one team.
